Chapter 4 A Self Defense Primer

The reason that I wrote this book is to help people protect themselves from involuntary, and unwitting, indoctrination. AA’s members have had decades to hone their responses, and to challenge their pat responses on the fly can be difficult. If an AA member answers “It’s only God as we understand Him” when challenged on AA’s core philosophy of healing through God’s miracle, it’s difficult to wade through AA literature, and this book, to retort that AA really means “a God we love and call by name” and “the Creator”. Because AA members go to hours of AA meetings every week, and even multi-day AA retreats, they receive endless hours of training on how to camouflage their faith-healing theology in everyday terms and, thus, AA members are well practiced at their dishonest debate techniques while everyone else is at a disadvantage in calling them on their lies. That is where I hope this chapter will come in handy
